Link11 at CeBIT 2017: Focus on DDoS Protection

After various impressive hyper attacks of several hundred Gbps during the year of 2016, the DDoS threat is receiving more attention at this year’s CeBIT from IT security decision makers and CIOs. In Hall 6 at booth H16, CeBIT exhibitor Link11 will delve into this key topic with a recently published Link11 DDoS report as well as an expert lecture on the Business Security Stage in Hall 6.

At CeBIT 2017 in Hall 6, booth H16, the German IT security specialist Link11 will shine a light on the key topic of DDoS attacks and DDoS protection. The focus will be on the cloud-based Link11 DDoS Protection Platform that mitigates volumetric, protocol-based and application-based attacks. Over the past twelve months, the number of such attacks has increased exponentially by 117%. Over the entire year of 2016, Link11 blocked more than 37,000 DDoS attacks for its clients in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

    Patent pending Link11 DDoS protection

The patent pending Link11 DDoS protection consists of an artificial intelligence with the two individual cores Link11 Fingerprint Identification and the Self-Learning AI Shield. At CeBIT 2017, companies will be able to learn how the Link11 DDoS filter cluster works and how DDoS protection from Link11 can further reinforce their existing IT security infrastructure.

In addition, Link11 is once again applying its tried-and-tested trade show concept of presenting itself alongside a significant IT security partner. Link11’s partner at its booth this year is the system vendor and Link11 DDoS protection reseller GORDION.

Publication of the new Link11 DDoS report

In addition, the security experts at booth H16 in Hall 6 will use current data from the Link11 Security Operation Center to inform visitors of the increasing DDoS threat in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. The current DDoS report provides decision makers and IT representatives with exclusive figures and analyses for the fifth time in a row. This makes Link11 a pioneer in this regard, as representative data for the German-speaking countries has so far been lacking.

Lecture on the current DDoS danger on March 21, 2017

Link11 Managing Director Jens-Philipp Jung will talk about the “Current risk level of DDoS attacks – Trends, requirements and solutions” on the Business Security Stage in Hall 6 on March 21 at 4 p.m. Significant attack trends, such as attacks via IoT botnets and DDoS attacks as a diversionary tactic, will be derived from the analysis of anonymized DDoS customer incidents. The technically substantiated lecture will mainly consider the DDoS security strategy of companies in view of the increasing danger.
