Your future challenges:
- You are passionate about configuring and maintaining a high-performance Content Delivery Network (CDN) with caching policies, load balancing, and SSL/TLS encryption for an optimal customer experience.
- You upscale the CDN and DNS infrastructure to cope with rising traffic demands.
- You assist us in guaranteeing high availability through implementing redundancy and failover mechanisms.
- You coordinate troubleshooting of problems with operating systems and network connections.
- You will act as a liaison between the development and operations departments, providing support on both sides of complex debugging and troubleshooting tasks.
Your Skills:
- You have a solid understanding of Nginx and its modules, including how to configure and customize the web server for optimal performance and security.
- You are familiar with the concepts behind DNS and experienced in managing and troubleshooting DNS servers.
- You have extensive experience with Linux operating systems and network protocols such as TCP/IP, HTTP, HTTPS, SSL/TLS, and DNS.
- You have a passion for debugging complex systems and solving tricky puzzles. You are able to analyze log files and identify and resolve issues in a timely manner.
- You have programming skills in e.g. Bash, Perl, and Python
- You are familiar with monitoring tools such as Nagios, Zabbix, or Prometheus to proactively monitor system health and performance.
- You want to share your knowledge and learn new things
- You are able to work independently and in a team. You communicate requirements, issues, and status updates effectively with both technical and non-technical contacts.
- You have excellent communication skills, at least in English or German.
