Frankfurt/Germany – May 13, 2014 – The winner of this year’s Hosting & Service Provider Award is Link11 GmbH. The company’s Link11 OEM DDoS protection for ISPs convinced the jury in the category “Infrastructure Services” with its innovativeness and excellent market chances for the global ISP sector. Link11 is the first company to offer ISPs high-quality OEM DDoS protection. The cloud solution with award-winning filter technology provides protection without the need for an oversized infrastructure.
Jury member Gerd J. Simon, Senior Consultant at Digital Hub FranfurtRheinMain e.V., presented the award to Link11. He justified the 1st place with the need to secure the strong growth in the hosting and ISP sector in a cost-effective manner. At the same time Simon pointed out that the fight against cybercrime is not merely a local or national challenge, but rather a global one, and the Link11 OEM DDoS protection for ISPs clearly acknowledges the potential in this.

Link11 is the first company to enable ISPs to set up their own high-quality, efficient DDoS protection. To do this the ISP installs its own cloud-base filter cluster (scrubbing centre), for which Link11 provides the software based on a software licence model. On the hardware side the cluster relies on enterprise class servers. Just a few weeks ago Link11 won the data centre prize in the “Data Centre Security” category with its cloud-based DDoS protection.
The Hosting & Service Provider Award is highly esteemed and also highly coveted in this sector. It is used to distinguish the most innovative and successful hosting and service offers in three categories. Important criteria include the innovativeness of the idea, the implementation thereof and also the market chances of the offer. This year 24 companies competed for the award. The award ceremony took place on May 9 during the Hosting & Service Provider Summit in Frankfurt.
