Frankfurt, September 20, 2018 – Leading web security specialist Link11 has been certified by the German Federal Office for Information Security (BSI) as a “Qualified DDoS Mitigation Service Provider within the meaning of §3 BSI Act”. With the BSI certification Link 11 is recognised as a recommended qualified security service provider for critical infrastructure. According to §3 of the BSI Act, accredited providers have demonstrated advanced capabilities that enable them to advise and support providers and operators of critical infrastructures to assist with the securing of their IT infrastructure.
Guaranteed DDoS and data protection
The Link11 DDoS protection is a core service on the Link11 Cloud Security Platform and fulfils the extensive quality criteria of the BSI. The BSI also certifies that the DDoS protection experts have a high level of specialist knowledge when it comes to defending against and coping with DDoS attacks. By qualifying as a DDoS mitigation service provider, Link11’s compliance with data protection regulations has also been confirmed by the BSI. This shows companies that are considering Link11 as a potential partner that it is subject to the same strict regulations as they are.
Marc Wilczek, Link11 Managing Director: “Link11 is aware of the particular responsibility, and also sensitivity, when it comes to data protection and data security in the area of outsourced IT security. Both are cornerstones of our work as an IT security provider ensuring that every customer benefits from the strict data protection regulations to which Link11, as a German company, is subjected.”
Link11 provides its extensive IT security services in the form of a cloud-based solution. The Link11 Cloud Security Platform is provided via certified and highly secure data centres in and outside Germany, such as the recently opened Singapore location, which ensures the best possible availability and performance.
